<p>In der Fahrzeugtechnik werden durch die steigende Komplexität zunehmend
Abkürzungen verwendet. Diese sind meist aus englisch-sprachigen Begriffen
abgeleitet und daher im deutsch-sprachigen Raum nicht immer sofort
verständlich. Nachfolgend eine Aufstellung der im Zusammenhang mit FORD
interessanten Abkürzungen und ihrer Bedeutungen. Weiter unten sind einige im
deutschen Sprachraum gebräuchliche Abkürzungen erläutert.</p>
